At midday close, the HSI lost 173 points or 0.9% to 19,649; the HSCEI faded 69 points or 1% to 7,060; and the HSTECH ebbed 63 points or 1.4% to 4,392. Half-day turnover totaled $81.45 billion. TENCENT (00700.HK) gained 1.6% after its 3Q non-IFRS profit rose 33%, beating estimates, and it expected full-year buybacks to top its $100 billion target. ALI HEALTH (00241.HK)'s interim net profit soared 73%, and the stock closed midday flat at $4.17. Other techs, BABA-W (09988.HK), XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) sagged 1.5-1.7%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) dived 2.5%. JD-SW (09618.HK) fell off 4.4%. In addition, KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK) and WEIMOB INC (02013.HK) each spiked 18%. MEITU (01357.HK) and KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK) rallied more than 5%. PA GOODDOCTOR (01833.HK) shot up 4.2%. EAST BUY (01797.HK) and same series company NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901.HK) cratered 2.8% and 5.8%. Cell phone component stocks SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK), AAC TECH (02018.HK), Q TECH (01478.HK) and BYD ELECTRONIC (00285.HK) tumbled more than 2%.
