A key initiative is the establishment of the Hong Kong AI Research and Development Institute, dedicated to supporting upstream R&D and translating research outcomes into practical applications. Sun highlighted that InnoHK has forged partnerships with over 30 world-renowned universities and research institutions from 12 economies, bringing together more than 2,500 researchers across 30 research laboratories.
