The 3-year transition period for Macau's satellite casinos will expire at the end of 2025, and the Macau gaming industry and all walks of life are paying close attention in anticipation of an early solution.

Sam Hou Fai, Chief Executive of Macau, said on Monday (14th) that the issue of Macau's satellite casinos is not new, and that the new gaming law has very clear and detailed regulations on the handling of satellite satellite casinos. The Macau government will also enforce the relevant provisions in accordance with the law in a timely and clear manner.

It is not up to the Macau government to arrange how to deal with satellite casinos, Sam added. He called on the casinos which own the satellite casinos to take the responsibility and make a plan to deal with the related problems in accordance with the law as early as possible.
