In response to market rumors that BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) would delay mass production at its Hungarian plant and its capacity would fall below planned levels, the car maker stated that its plans in Europe were long-term, and that the construction progress of the Szeged plant in Hungary was fully in line with expectations, according to Cailian Press. BYD COMPANY reaffirmed that production would start as planned by the end of this year, and the planned production capacity of the plant would remain unchanged with a target peak capacity of 300,000 vehicles.
