China's National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation have released a draft amendment to the Price Law of the People's Republic of China for public consultation.

The draft proposed to further clarify the standards for identifying unfair pricing behaviors, including improving the standards for recognizing low-price dumping, regulating market price order, and addressing "involutionary" competition.

It also aims to refine the standards for identifying unfair pricing behaviors such as price collusion, price gouging, and price discrimination. Public utility enterprises and industry associations will also be required to stop using their influence and dominant industry positions to force or bundle the sale of goods and services and charge fees.
