The broker viewed autonomous driving as two distinct commercial scenarios, naming smart EVs and robotaxis. HSBC Global Research believed that, given the increasing maturity of technology, supportive regulations and public acceptance, both are on the cusp of a commercial break-out during 2025-2026.
