The HSI ended the day 301 points or 1.2% higher at 26,388. The HSCEI rose 104 points or 1.1%, closing at 9,364. The HSTECH grew 100 points or 1.7% to close at 5,989. The total market turnover for the day amounted to HKD320.734 billion.

BABA-W (09988.HK) leaped 5.4% for the day, boosted by its USD3.2 billion notes priced at HKD188.08 per share and an 8% surge in its ADR. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) spiked 8.1% amid reports that it is using its own chips to train AI models like BABA-W does.

Among AI concept stocks, GDS-SW (09698.HK) was speculated up 15.7%, while MEITU (01357.HK) and SENSETIME-W (00020.HK) ballooned 5.3% and 7.1%.

The French government has requested JD-SW (09618.HK) to provide more information on its acquisition of Germany's Ceconomy. The company's stock price gained 1.5%.

Among other tech stocks, TENCENT (00700.HK), NTES-S (09999.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) advanced 2.2-2.8%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) added 0.9%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) closed flat at HKD96.55. SMIC (00981.HK) dipped 0.9%. XD INC (02400.HK) and KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK) ticked up 3.2%. Robotics-concept stock UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880.HK) climbed 2.8%.

EVERG SERVICES (06666.HK) resumed trading and skyrocketed 20.9% after its major shareholder's liquidators signed a confidentiality agreement for a potential share sale.

Chinese developers rallied. SINO-OCEAN GP (03377.HK) was hyped up 13.1%. SUNAC (01918.HK) and KWG GROUP (01813.HK) mushroomed 8.7% and 9.3%. CIFI HOLD GP (00884.HK), R&F PROPERTIES (02777.HK), CHINA JINMAO (00817.HK), and LONGFOR GROUP (00960.HK) shot up 4.9-5.8%. CHINA VANKE (02202.HK), SEAZEN (01030.HK), and YUEXIU PROPERTY (00123.HK) inclined over 3%. CHINA OVERSEAS (00688.HK) and CHINA RES LAND (01109.HK) ballooned 2.8% and 1.4%.

Car maker BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) ebbed 0.7%, while its peers NIO-SW (09866.HK) and XPENG-W (09868.HK) escalated 4.8% and 3.2%. Pharma stocks staged a rebound. INNOCARE (09969.HK) surged 14.1%. TRANSTHERA-B (02617.HK) soared 77%, with a turnover of over HKD2.6 billion. AKESO (09926.HK) jumped up 6.1%.
