Zhaoqing XPeng New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. (literal translation of "肇慶小鵬新能源投資有限公司") filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), according to the website of the SAMR. Starting next Monday (15th), the company will recall certain XPeng P7+ models, totaling 47,490 vehicles. The recall involves models produced between August 20, 2024 and April 27, 2025, report said. The main issue is poor contact in the wiring harness of the steering assist motor sensor in some vehicles, which may lead to signal fluctuations, triggering the steering fault warning light and resulting in steering assist failure, posing a safety risk. XPENG-W (09868.HK) stated that it will replace the improved steering gear assembly for the affected vehicles free of charge to eliminate the risk. AASTOCKS Financial News Website: www.aastocks.com |
