Hong Kong stocks opened lower in the morning session. The HSI opened 656 points or 2.5% lower at 25,634. The HSCEI opened 223 points or 2.4% lower at 9,134. The HSTECH opened 152 points or 2.4% lower at 6,107. For techs, BABA-W (09988.HK) and XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) cratered 3.9% and 4.5%, while TENCENT (00700.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), JD-SW (09618.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901.HK) and ALI HEALTH (00241.HK) waned 3-3.5%. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) shed 2.3%, while BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) and SENSETIME-W (00020.HK) slumped 5.2% and 5.7%. NTES-S (09999.HK) mounted 3.1% to $244.8. For automakers, BYD COMPANY-100 (01211.HK) sagged 1.8%, while LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) and XPENG-W (09868.HK) shrank 2.8% and 3.3%. GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) and NIO-SW (09866.HK) cascaded 3.9% and 4.8%, while HORIZONROBOT-W (09660.HK), a smart driving chip company, eroded 3.1%.
